Rare 1950s RUSHTON Star Creation Plush Rubber Face Musical Asian Chinese Lady

  
This is an extremely rare Rushton musical doll from I believe the 1950's. This is based off of a lot of research, and talk with experts. Nobody has ever seen her before and I can't find any examples of a similar one. She is an Asian woman in what looks like a traditional Chinese outfit. She is musical and the song it plays sounds like a Chinese New Year song or a jingle that is probably traditional Chinese. She measures approximately 14 from feet to top of hat.

There are many questions about this doll and apparently very few answers. There is a rabbit doll that I believe has a similar outfit and may have been created around the same time. She came out of the estate of a serious doll collector in NY. The condition is very good. There are some stains on the clothes and some very small tears on the back of her robe around where the turning mechanism is.

(See photo) The paint is maybe slightly faded more noticeably in the hair but still vibrant. I have not tried to clean her up besides some dusting. Since she may be the only one of her kind, the price reflects that.
