Steiff 1997 The Extravaganza Bear Fr Harrods, Ltd Ed of 2,000, Musical

  

Since 1895 the world-renowned department store Harrods in London has offered Steiff bears. As a special anniversary in the year 1997 this Margarete Steiff bear was presented, "The Extravaganza Bear", as a limited edition of only 2,000 pieces made exclusively for Harrods. This bear is handcrafted of the finest gold tipped mohair, has brown and black eyes, brown nose, mouth and claws are carefully embroidered by hand, fully jointed, wears a gold satin ribbon at the neck, and measures approximately 16. It is fitted with an original Swiss musical movement playing Shirley Bassey's "Big Spender", inspiring a shopping spree...

Hence the round, green hatbox trimmed with gold cord. She has a chest tag and the traditional button in her ear with the white numbered ribbon (#113 of 2,000) which denotes limited edition.

There is a signature on his lower left paw, but I'm not sure of the name. Condition is new, never played with or displayed, comes from a smoke free home, and includes the certificate of authenticity.
