Vtg Steiff 1900s Bully Dog & Puppy Bell Plush German Mohair spots black lot
RARE Amazing Set of Dog plush in good condition. There is an apx 1 tear on the larger dog near the neck. I also see a small hole on back of one ear where I believe the button may have been. I have done my best to describe all imperfections, there may be smaller ones I missed as these are so old and rate. Not sure of names, I think Bully Dog, but not sure.
Smaller puppy is missing the nose thread/yarn. Provenance: These belonged to a friends great, great aunt & uncle. Uncle had been a pharmacist at a drugstore in Milwaukee, WI. This would have been early 1900's - 1930's I believe.
Large dog from top of ear to paw in sitting position is apx 10. Apx 9 from head to tail. Both have a gold/bronze (ish) colored metal bell hanging around necks and they do both ring.
Some black around mouth area and some fabric deterioration around mouth/lips area as well, SEE photos! Large Dog head's does move around. Large muzzle fabric looks like a velvet type fabric and material is worn down. Small dog overall apx measurements are: 4.5" by 3.5", nose thread is mostly missing.
